Alex Reads for Fun (YouTube Inro + Outro)

For this project, I was tasked with creating and editing a video intro and outro for a YouTube-based book blog titled “Alex Reads for Fun.” The intro and outro combo is aesthetically whimiscal (centered around acedemia and books) with a light-heartedly playful track in the background meant to inspire viewers to enjoy the experience that much more!

Transport Support Training Modules

I begain this training devolpment project back in 2024 with the hope of streamlining new hires for the Transport Support Zara team, a logisitics group that focuses on the movement and transporation of all Inditex merchandise (i.e, Zara, Massimo Dutti, Stradavarious, Pull&Bear, etc.). More recently, I’ve been consistently updating the look and feel of the trainings to reflect current company standards. Mothers Move Mountains (Mini Documentary)

For this assignment, myself and two other group members created and edited a mini documentary titledMothers Move Mountains. We asked Gazala, a mother of five, to write a letter to her children. Anything she wished to say, she wrote in this note. She then talks about the trials and triumphs of motherhood.

“Rose-Tinted Glasses.” The Archer’s Paradox, Episode 4

As a part of a student-lead UF organization, I got to be a part of the making of a mini-series called The Archer’s Paradox. I was 1st Assistant Director on Episode 4 of this mini-series. In this episode, Zoe (the female protagonist) heads to LoveStruck where she uncovers new truths about the company. Adrian (the male lead) pulls out all the stops to hold Brie and Leo’s (one of Cupid’s matches) relationship together despite her rising doubts.

Marley Coovert (Velvet Rodeo Boutique Owner) Mini Documentary

For this assignment, I was responsible for finding a willing participant to be interviewed for a mini documentary as well as filming and editing the footage. This mini documentary follows Marley Coovert, the owner of Velvet Rodeo Boutique, and her journey to becoming a successful small-business owner.

Picnic Tutorial (“How-To” Video)

For this class assignment, we were expected to film a “How-To” video using specific camera shots (i.e., wide shot, extreme close up, over the shoulder shot, etc.) and it had to be filmed without dialogue to add ADR during editing.

Cacaoga Mini Documentary (Cacao & Yoga)

For this assignment, I was given several A-roll and B-roll footage and asked to edit the footage together to create a mini-documentary. This mini doc follows Liz Getman, a Cacaoga guide, as she talks about the history of cacao and how it has healing properties when combined with yoga.

In my Reality Television course, we were asked to make a video anazlyzing data for something releated to the reality tv industry. Therefore, in this video explanation, I utilized Talkwalker (a social listening and media monitoring tool) to analyze metrics for Harry Jowsey from Perfect Match and Too Hot to Handle.

Guardians of Security (Pitch Deck)

For my final project in the Innovation Academy, myself and a group of five others had to come up with a concept in which we would manage the data collected from two-way radios and body-worn cameras to develop a unified and efficient system that enhances security across the east side of Gainesville. To do this, we created a mockup of an app that could be used company-wide and with a subscription.

This assignment consisted of creating and executing a short film without any dialogue. Vision in Black is a take on horror that follows a young women dozing off in one of her university classes and being propelled into an alarming sequence of events. This short film was directed and edited by me, Isabela Rodriguez.

This short film, directed by Ricardo Sosa-Melo and starring myself as the lead actress, explores themes of addiction to technology and the harm it causes to oneself. It’s a cautionary tale to the extreme.

UF AFA Library Knowledge Branding Posts (Instagram)

At my library job working for the Architechture and Fine Arts Library at UF, I was asked to creat a couple of knowledge branding posts for the library’s Instagram page. The first post I conceptualized, filmed, and edited dealt with how to check out and play a boardgame from the library. The second post, which I ended up starring in, was a “How-to” for finding periodicals in the stacks.

Deal with Death (Scene Sequence)

For this assignment, I was given several A-roll and B-roll footage and asked to edit the footage together to create a short scene sequence. This sequence follows a man who has recently died of car crash and is now being recruited by Death to work for Grim Industries, a company dedicated to procuring justice in the afterlife.

Native Advertisement Project

This assignment consisted of creating a native advertisement of our choosing. The native advertisement I created (see picture to the left with advertisement outlined in red) was for Ippodo Tea and it was displayed on TeaMind Today’s website. To create this native ad, I used Adobe InDesign.

Banner Ad Assignment

For this assignment, we were instructed to create a banner ad using Photoshop. The ad reads, “Spring Sale. Up to 50% Off Selected Items. Online Only.”

Layout Exercise

This exercise consisted of learning how to make a concise layout for an ad using InDesign. In this example, we used a fictitious company called “Kay’s Lawn Care.”

Drop Flyer Exercise

For this assignment, I created an event flyer for a water company called “Drop.” The flyer was done using Adobe InDesign.

Place-Based Branding Assignment

For this assignment, we were instructed to create a webpage that fits the criteria of place-based branding. I chose to focus on the best places to study on the University of Florida campus.

For this project, we had to create posts/media that incorporated knowledge-based branding for a small Gainesville business. The business I choose for this project was Satchel’s Pizza, in which I created two knowledge branding posts (one of them is on the left).

Fostering Connections with Followers (WLI Elevate)

WLI Elevate’s mission from the very beginning was to inspire women and “elevate” them to even greater success. Similarly, the heart of our mission at 5 Years Apart was to captivate the audience with innovative and revolutionary marketing strategies that tugged at the hearstrings of everyone watching. EOM Report – WLI Elevate (KPIs + Analysis)

As an employee of 5 Years Apart, a media marketing agency, I was tasked with creating monthly reports for our clients – one of which was a female-lead Johnson and Johnson initiative know as WLI Elevate. In these reports, I would analyze and throughly explain metrics accross multiple social media platforms using Sprout Social analytics as well as Instagram Insights. Additionally, as part of the report, I would advise the client on marketing strategies to employ that could best help their reach and impressions across all platforms.

Oprah Winfrey (WLI Elevate)

With every new guest that’s interviewed by the WLI Elevate team, we (as marketing strategists) must create and put together a media campaign that would consist of copy, videos, and captions to upload to social. This is one example of an advertisement that we posted to Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram Reels. It was meant to advertise Oprah’s interview and incentivize viewers to tune in.

Much like Oprah in her social media campaign, Shonda Rhimes got a big shoutout from the WLI ELevate team, and I (along with a team of strategists) helped foster this. We created and posted several promos in the weeks leading up the special guest interview.

Tiffany & Co. x WLI Elevate

In addition to promotional videos, WLI Elevate also frequently maintains and showcases partnerships with female-lead initatives/companies. One of these partnerships was with the jewelry company Tiffany & Co. and the company’s Chieft Sustainability Officer, Anisa Kamadoli Costa. In this video, Costa dicusses how she leads the Tiffany & Co. Foundation with philianthropy and sustainability at its forefront.

Innovation Academy Protoype & Pitch Project

One of my very first individual projects for my minor in Innovation was to create a protype for something that already exists and maximize the innovation to make it more efficient. For this assignment, I decided to pitch a chair that has a clasped closure and lock suited for hanging purses. It would minimize the threat of theft while keeping the purse firmly in place and without sliding off the sides of the chair.

Innovation Academy Catalyst Project

For the class final, we were asked to work in groups and submit a prototype based on the problem statement, “How might we create awareness of the effects caused by fracking?” My group and I choose to create a coloring book designed to bring awareness in a creative and memorable way. Fun fact: I created the prototype for the coloring book using Autodesk Fusion 360.
